Her right hand was found inside what???

Imagine a scenario of a car accident. The unconscious driver was being recovered from a topsy-turvy vehicle. The authorities would be astonished to find the driver’s right hand inside a bag of Cheetos Jalapeno chips.

Rewinding a few minutes back — I was voraciously munching on the Jalapeno-flavored Cheetos resting at the middle of the car’s front seats. I was addicted and I never stopped eating while i braved Edsa during rush hour with all the competitive vehicles offensively making their way towards north.

I have my right hand inside the chips pack majority of the time. Half of the time it’s shooting chips in my mouth. All of a sudden, a bus swerved to our direction. I found myself uttering ‘wooough!!!’ as I managed to avoid the huge, reckless vehicle. It all happened in a snap. And then after a short while, amidst that, I realized that I made the defensive move with only one hand. Because my right hand was still inside the bag of Cheetos Jalapeno. The scenario at the opening paragraph was what my companion imagined before I finally gave up my obsessive attachment to eating the Jalapeno flavored Cheetos while driving. I can’t get the weird picture off my mind.

**A Special Reminder to Drive Safely! Don’t Eat and Drive.

Watch your horizons expand with each courageous act

The life you live will expand or shrink in proportion to the measure of courage you display. Those who are willing to take risks, face their shortcomings, and sometimes experience defeat will go farther than people who timidly follow the safe and predictable path. - John Maxwell

The opposite of courage isn't cowardice; It's conformity.

Our courage will be tested when our convictions, once expressed, are challenged. The opposite of courage isn’t cowardice; It’s conformity. It’s not enough just to believe in something. We need to live for something. You cannot really live unless there are things in life for which you are willing to die for. - John Maxwell A belief is something you will argue about. A conviction is something you will die for. - Howard Hendricks

Frutti Froyo Yogurt Photoshoot

I’ve been really excited for this shoot because I get to eat overflowing yogurt in a day for free! Good thing the food stylist chose to prepare the real thing instead of creating fake yogurt (I’ve been praying for that). We have a big machine of frozen yogurt! Yipee!

The next batch of frozen yogurt is now being cooked for our last few photoshoot set-ups. 21 layouts of yogurt and ingredients plus two kid models have been photographed. I’ve been eating Fruti Froyo’s frozen yogurt in between takes since this afternoon and I’ll never get enough of it! Watch out for the opening of Frutti Froyo’s first store in Petron, La Vista on October 15!

Historical Trip on Heroes Day

It’s just timely that altumviditur suggested something that would sate my craving to travel and shoot without going on a long trip and spending a lot of money. On August 31, National Heroes Day, we roamed the historical spots in Manila which is in Intramuros. We got a little review of our elementary history classes and commemorated Philippine history by paying visit to the famous world war landmarks, churches built in the Spanish era and the cell-turned-museum where Jose Rizal was detained (inside Fort Santiago) right before his execution in Luneta (to name a few).

The Manila Cathedral

The Augustinian Priests

San Agustin Church Ruins

After knowing that Barbara’s restaurant in Casa Manila was closed, not liking the ambiance at Patio Conchita, checking out Tamayo’s and passing by Casa Marinero’s, we resorted to have a light snack at the Illustrado. We were looking for a restaurant that’s cozy and hispanic with an excellent ambiance like Adarna in Kalayaan and it was Illustrado which the Katipunero guards recommended. They even mentioned films were being shot there. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what we were expecting. Almost all the customers were foreign guests but the ambiance was nothing like Adarna. We also hated the crappy service. Their staff was not accommodating and hospitable it’s like they’ve brought their personal problems at work and it’s manifesting in their poor service. We would’ve transferred to another resto but I no longer wanted to move from my seat. It was a good thing the food tasted great.

Dreams become reality when we keep our commitment to them

Perseverance has a compounding effect of life. Everyday that you do the right things - work hard, treat others with respect, learn, and grow — you invest in yourself. To do these things everyday takes relentless perseverance, but if you do them, your success compounds over time. - (John Maxwell) Weight-loss expert & author Judy Wardell Halliday supported this idea: “Dreams become reality when we keep our commitment to them.”
